UPDATE: PLEASE NOTE ---- As of 1/1/2013, I will be taking a break from accepting requests to review self-published books. I don't have anything against self-publishing, but I would like to spend some time focusing on some of the books that I have on my "to-be-read" list and have some time to review those. Because of my busy schedule, I cannot fit in as much reading as I would like, and need to recover from a bit of reading burn-out.
I am happy to accept ARCs, as well as published books. Please note --- if your book is only available as a Kindle e-book, I will not be able to review it; I own a Nook. I also welcome author interviews and contests. I post honest reviews, although I do try to be kind in any dislikes I might have. I am not a professional reviewer, so my reviews are just my actual opinions. I receive no financial benefits from this blog, and do not receive money from publishers, publicists or authors (I don't want anyone thinking that they are entitled to a positive review just so I can pad my pocket).

I also can't guarantee that a book I review will be ordered for the library I work at (although if I really like something, I can usually try get it into the collection). That being said, however, as a librarian, I do reader's advisory, which I call "book-pushing," so I do tell people about books I've enjoyed.
Please note: I would prefer not to review books for very young readers (10 and under), as I'm not really comfortable writing reviews for that age group. I also do not read a lot of books in certain genres, including romance, horror and others --- so a request for a review may be denied if I do not think I can give a balanced review.

- Official Synopsis(usually from GoodReads)
- Cover photo
- Links to Goodreads
- my own Rating from 1-5
- A link to my review posted on GoodReads and LibraryThing. Please also let me know if you would like a review posted anywhere else. Please note, though, that I do not post reviews on Amazon; I would prefer not to have my Amazon account, which I rarely use for books, linked to reviews.
