Teaser Tuesday!

Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by MizB over at Should be Reading -- and it's just what I need to start my day!     Per the instructions:

1) grab your current read;  2) open to a random page;  3) share two "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page.

My teaser today is from When Autumn Leaves by Amy S. Foster.
"She walked slowly through the graveled entrance, marveling at the arched trellis and the blooming, fragrant flowers that wound their way around almost every inch of it."   "She had never mastered the art of being demure or casual."                p. 119

I just started this book last night, but randomly opened to this page.   So far, this story is good: interesting characters and just a pinch of magic.

I like that - bit of description and a bit of characterization! And it's a very appropriate book to read with your header.

I'm doing the Chunkster Challenge too and my teaser this week is from my first chunkster, Sharon Kay Penman's When Christ and His Saints Slept:

I love a pinch of magic! Like in Sarah Addison Allen's novels. I also love your blog design and header, both are very pretty. My teaser is at The Crowded Leaf.

Yes there is always room for magic...thanks for the lovely teaser, intrigued me enough to look up some reviews for this novel.

That teaser is so unlike what it looks like around here right now! I'd love to pass under that trellis and take a deep fragrant breath or two. LOVE the header — attention grabbing yet soothing all at once!
