After some frustration with Blogger and my computer this morning, I am finally Hopping!! and if you don't know what I mean by hopping, then go visit Crazy for Books --- it's time for the Book Blogger Hop!
This week's question comes from Britta -- "What book-to-movie adaption have you most liked? Which have you disliked?"
I loved the Lord of the Rings trilogy, although they didn't follow the books exactly. That was fine with me, though -- there is so much packed into those books that it would be almost impossible to do up a set of films. I thought Peter Jackson did a wonderful job -- and seeing the first movie made me want to go back and read the books again.
The movie adaptation that I dislike the most is: Blood and Chocolate. Love, love, love the book. Hate the movie. A friend and I rented it, and then threw popcorn at the screen because we were so annoyed. We couldn't believe that the movie had turned things so completely around.... and frankly, I thought it sucked.
I'm sure there will be lots of interesting answers during this Hop, and I'm looking forward to seeing what people have to say. Have a great weekend, everyone!!!!

I agree with you on the LOTR. I haven't read or seen Blood and Chocolate, though.
Have a great weekend!
Beyond strange new words
I haven't finished LoTR yet, but I do love the movies. They've actually caused me some anxiety while reading the books because they're so different. I think something is coming up, but then it doesn't happen, lol.
Call me crazy, but I still haven't read or watched LOTR!! But I've heard the movies are great!
I chose Twilight as the adaptation I disliked the once, but you are absolutely right about Blood & Chocolate! The book was amazing and I was so excited when it was being made into a movie, until it turned out to change a LOT. Ugh! Thanks for reminding me LOL!
Happy Friday!

I love LoTR, although I've only read the first book. I'll be reading the trilogy (and The Hobbit) later this year so maybe after I've read them I'll think differently. Probably not though because I enjoy the films' epicness.
Hi! I love LOTR but I haven't read the books.
I haven't seen or read Blood & Chocolate but a few people have mentioned it this week so I might have to see what it's about. The book anyway, maybe not the film.
Btw your header is amazing :)
I really liked the movie adaptation of Howl's Moving Castle. Yes, they changed a lot of things, but I just adore that movie.
film adaptation I didn't care for? The Percy Jackson and the Olympians movie. I have trouble believing those people were in junior high school!!
Lord of the Rings was good. But I haven't read any of the books. and I don't think that I ever will. This was a fun question.

Thanks for stopping by on the Hop last week! I love your header - and I definitely agree that LOTR made for a great movie!
