lovely photo. the bike IS locked up though, right? i think i see a bit of a red "chain"
my friend was in japan recently and noticed that only a few bikes were locked. the rest were just left... lock-less. he noticed this is cities throughout the country. finally he asked a japanese preson about it and their response was so simple and awesome:
"if it is not theirs, people will not take it."
