Just an update......

why yes, I am a bit grouchy......
I know I usually post book reviews, and photos on wednesdays, and sometimes a brunch here and there....   and have not really posted much lately.

Yes, this is a personal post ... so if this isn't what you'd like to read, please come back on wednesday to see a photo of Verona, Italy.

Anyway ....  just wanted to say that I am trying to get back on track, and I am reading .... I'm just feeling a bit grumpy and out of sorts.  What I'm reading I then don't feel like writing about (even though the books have been great).  I guess I'm just not feeling super-inspired.   And, I'm feeling a bit thick in parts, so cutting down on the food and upping the exercise to deal with that.  ugh.    And, frankly, in addition to not feeling inspired about blogging, I'm feeling like Cranky Librarian after 2 straight work days of grouchy patrons.  And, coming to the work-filled ending of an online class.   see?  grump, grump, grump.

So.  What I am doing is reading, and reading what's on everyone else's blogs, even if I'm not commenting.  I will be making more of an effort to pull up my socks and find some inspiration.  Getting a new HVAC system in the house on Wednesday (oh yes, the awesome fun of being a grown-up and a homeowner), so maybe will go for a short walk in the woods and re-set my attitude.  And hopefully, will have a book post by the end of the week.

Thanks for your patience.  And, if you have any words of advice on what inspires you, I'm all ears!

Aww, buddy, I'm sorry you are feeling out of sorts. I just posted the same sort of thing on my own non-book blog, so I'm afraid I don't have any words of inspiration. Maybe it's the season? (The HVAC thing doesn't help, either. Being a homeowner sucks sometimes.) Anyway, take good care, and feel better soon.

Don't you just wish we have a re-boot button? Maybe a full short, brief break from reading/blogging is actually the answer?

I hate slumps like this. I have a hard time getting out of them too. I hope you're able to get through it soon. If you find a good solution to your slump, please share! :)

Walks always help me clear my head and realign with the world. We all have moments like this, so just remember to take care you first and the blog second (or maybe third or fourth even). *Hugs*

Making an effort to catch up with the blogs I haven't visited for a while, I wanted to stop by and say hello. Sorry to hearing you are feeling in a bit of a rut, my best wishes to you.

I felt a bit like this last year for the longest time - and it affected my reading too. I enjoyed what I read but my concentration lapsed and it took me ages to read a book I would have usually whizzed through.

I think sometimes you just need a break and to stop stressing.

Last year I just got to a point when I thought... well what's the point? Quit feeling that way... and I went out and bought myself a new wardrobe worth of clothes. Might not be the best advice but sometimes you just gotta say 'to hell with it all' and do something you want.

I hope you snap out of your funk soon. I know what it's like. Just take it day by day. I have found that exercise for me is the key. Even just a walk makes me feel better so I clear my head. Wish you the best!! Thank you for the Christmas card! ;)
