Giveaway --- just because !

Two with Cake Yes, just because I feel like it.   I've been feeling a bit drained lately (I'm chalking it up to my allergies and lack of good sleep), so I decided I've have another small giveaway.   After all, I'm 10 days away from my blogoversary!

So, just because .....  I'm giving away a copy of one of my favorite new books, Mermaid by Carolyn Turgeon.   And a nice mermaid necklace (which, of course, I don't have a good photo of), and probably a bookmark or two.

Here's the simple rules:   You don't need to be a follower, but it's always nice.  However, I'd rather have you follow my blog because you like it, and not just for the giveaway, so it's not required.

To enter in the giveaway, please leave a comment on the subject of ---- Mermaids.   Like them?  Don't like them?  Share your thoughts!   And, please leave me your email address so I can contact the winner.

This giveaway will end on Midnight (CST), Wednesday, September 21st, and I'm limiting it to US and Canada only.

I like mermaids in movies and TV shows, but I've never read a book about mermaids. I'm a little iffy about them, actually. I'm sure I'll like them once I give them a go.

I really like mermaids. So my favorite Disney movie is The Little Mermaid, and I even dressed up like a mermaid for halloween once. And I wasn't even a kid when I did it (It was not that fun to walk around in). I also enjoy the mythological stories of sirens, who sometimes are portrayed as mermaids and other times a bird like woman.

I havent read very many books about mermaids, but from what I do know, I like them. They're gorgeous and it would be cool if I could be one (wishful thinking). O well! Thanks for the giveaway! My email is smleach5400[at]yahoo[dot]com

Mermaids (and mermen, too) are a fascinating lot! Stories can go either way with them... like sirens, mermaids have been known to cause problems in the sea, but other stories have them helping. And who doesn't love our favorite red-headed mermaid, Ariel?

I would love to be considered for this giveaway. It's nice to see other creatures besides vampires and weres being featured in stories!

Other than the Little Mermaid I haven't read about mermaids (ok, I actually read Sleeping with the Fishes, but I hated Fred so much I don't count that). I love mermaids in movies and such though, and would love to read books with them.

I actually read and really liked this book! I like mermaids (who wouldn't love to live Under the Sea?) but I definitely think they're under-represented in books. We need more mermaid books!

If only a mermaid costume were easy to do, that's what I'd be. You can't really go topless, can't walk and I no longer have long hair, but still. I love the idea of them, so sweet and slinky, iridescent scales all green. Somehow, they just speak to me. Hope the book is good (I love the cover illustration!).
